Google vs facebook

In the long term, I don’t think Google has much to worry about regarding users sharing things within the facebook site. Much of what people share in fb are links that they found thru Google and on YouTube.

The problem is that Google can’t see what’s behind the fb firewall.

The solution is to re-code the search-links data to be able to trackback and communicate behind frenemy lines.

Perhaps this may be accomplished in something as basic as the browser software that is parsing daisychained, user passwords already. This is an opportunity where Google may make gains; albeit from facebook’s  basic lack of ‘outward web reach’.

That is to say that until now facebook has only sought to make inward connections with the rest of the web and has only scratched the surface with external apps & widgets.

Perhaps Chrome should invite Firefox, Opera & Safari to be friends! 🙂
